Today, we officially announced the RICOH GR IV Monochrome.
*For details such as product specifications and release date, please refer to the press release.

The GR IV Monochrome is the model whose development we announced in October. Based on the GR IV, it features a newly developed dedicated image sensor that specializes in monochrome photography.

The full story behind the GR IV Monochrome—its conceptual intent, the developer’s vision, and the unique features and evolution of monochrome photography—is too extensive to cover here. Please watch this video interview to learn more.

We hope to convey the appeal of monochrome photography as we see it.

Starting today, you can try out the actual products on display at GR SPACE TOKYO, SHANGHAI, and BEIJING.

As previously announced, GR SPACE TOKYO is holding the “Monochrome” exhibition starting today.

The GR IV Monochrome product website also features works by Kazuhei Kimura, Tomas H. Hara, and Rikard Landberg.

All of the works on the website were captured using the GR IV Monochrome.

The works on the product feature page were photographed by Mitsuo Suzuki.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the GR series, which began with the release of the film camera RICOH GR1 in 1996. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you who have always supported the GR.

Thank you very much.

We hope you continue to enjoy your photographic experiences with the RICOH GR.
