Let me introduce you to our new app, “GR WORLD,” which we released today.
Please note that you will need to Firmware update your GR in order to use the app (link).
The app is available in Japanese, English, German, French, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.
GR continues to uphold its never-changing concept of being the “ultimate snapshooter.”
The perfect moment for a snapshot can come at any time. That's why “portability for daily use” is one of the most important GR elements.
I take photos with my GR every day, and I enjoy it very much.
After taking photos, I select my favorites and refine them using in-camera RAW development and cropping. Then, I upload them to social media to share with friends or print them out to give as gifts. Seeing their reactions is also a lot of fun.
That experience naturally leads me to think, “How will I shoot next?” as I prepare for the next shoot by charging the battery and checking the settings. I enjoy this time as well.
In other words, the joy of taking photos lies not only in the moment of taking them but also in the time before and after.
“Enhance the joy before and after taking photos” is the concept we prioritized when creating this new app, “GR WORLD.”
Let me briefly show you how to use it.
First, you register your GR camera(s).
The UI will then guide you to select the registered GR and choose the feature you want to use.
For example, selecting the GR and tapping the “Import images” button establishes a Wi-Fi connection and enables image transfer to your smartphone.
The “Gallery” only displays images taken with the GR that are saved on your smartphone.
After taking snapshots, the first step is to select your favorites and add them to the “Album.”
Furthermore, you can display photos from your albums on your smartphone's home screen using the widget function. We have implemented this feature so that you can always enjoy your photos on hand.

Please note that this app is available for all GR series models from the RICOH GR II and up. The available features may vary depending on the model.
We hope to meet you at GR events in the future and hear your feedback on “GR WORLD,” including feature requests and suggestions for improving usability. We plan to incorporate your feedback into future updates.
